All school systems are now required to have an active School Health Advisory Councils to create and promote healthy environments. School Health Advisory Councils include school staff, administrators, medical and health professionals, community representatives, and parents. These people work collaboratively toward a comprehensive health program for their school community.
Health Promotion is proud to be a partner with our local school systems in Alleghany, Ashe, and Watauga Counties by serving on their School Health Advisory Councils.
