Child Health
Ensuring the optimal growth and development of children in our community is an important priority of the ADHD. This is accomplished through health promotion and school health initiatives, promotion of a safe environment for children, and pediatric clinical services.
Services provided include:
- Pediatric nurse screenings by nurses who are trained in expanded role
- Pediatric check-ups by trained nurses, our Pediatrician or Family Nurse Practitioner(recommended at 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, 15 or 18 months, and yearly thereafter)
- Childhood immunizations with record maintenance for school
- Development is assessed at each well visit
- Ages and stages development screenings at 4 months and every visit thereafter
- Anticipatory guidance information given at each visit based on the child’s age
- Hearing and vision screenings
- Lab work such as Lead Screening for 12 & 24 month old children, Hemoglobin, urine if appropriate
- Height, Weight, Blood pressure for 3 yr old and up
- Dental Varnish with education is offered for application between 9 months and 6 years of age.
